3rd Annual Spotlight on the Northwest
August 26-28, 2018
Pre-Fam August 23-26, 2018
Save the dates – August 26-28, 2018 in Pendleton OR. Spotlight on the Northwest is a tourism conference which combines educational seminars, networking functions and a trade show. Operators are primarily domestic (including Canada) and range from small operations to large receptive companies (and everything in between). The ratio of suppliers to operators is never more than 2.5 to 1.
Spotlight is casual and intimate. We don't just network - we build relationships at Spotlight. There are three days of interaction in which to conduct business. The goal is to build lasting relationships. New tour itineraries to off-the-beaten-path destinations are highlighted, using the closest Northwestern gateway cities and all they have to offer as arrival and departure points.
The first 20 operators to sign up will be included in the Spotlight pre-fam, August 23-26, 2018. All operators must complete a Spotlight Qualification Form to be eligible.

Day 1 - Fly into Spokane WA, Arrive by 1 pm where we board our motorcoach to begin our adventure! There is a city tour of this historic city before we depart for Schweitzer Mountain in rustic Sandpoint, Idaho to overnight. Resting near the shores of Lake Pend Oreille between three magnificent mountain ranges, you will enjoy this fabulous resort.
Day 2 – Journey south to picturesque Wallace, ID where you take in the highlights of this authentic Western town of 784 citizens. You’ll be met by the “Prime Minister of Wallace”- and treated to lunch. Travel to serene Coeur d’Alene for more fabulous scenery along the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene. Continue the journey through mountainous roads to reach Lewiston, Idaho and Hells Canyon, made famous by the daredevil Evil Knievel. Here we enjoy the beauty of the area with an adventurous ride on a jet boat trip to view wildlife and scenic wonderment.
Day 3 – The morning finds us visiting the Spaulding Visitor Center at Nez Perce National Park, and also the ancestral home of Chief Joseph, scene of the Nez Perce Indian Wars on the Columbia River Plateau. We return to Washington for our next stop at the Whitman Mission to learn of the missionary influence on the Western Expansion, and stop at Fort Walla Walla, site of Civil War activities. All this and more as we drive through agricultural country that produces grain, fruits and wineries. Overnight in Walla Walla.
